Unbeaten India, Rohit and his team hoping for clean sweep against West Indies

IND vs WI 2nd Test, Day 4: The Indian team performed brilliantly in the second Test against the West Indies. For West Indies the second one is also on the verge of falling out of their hands after a crushing defeat in the first Test. India have set a target of 365 despite rain blocking twice in the second Test. At the end of the game on the fourth day the home team scored 76 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.

The team now need 289 runs on the fifth i.e. final day. But it will only be interesting to see how long the West Indies team will stay in the crease with the Indian bowlers. Because In the second Test Mohammad Siraj showed his career best performance with five wickets. For which West Indies lost all the wickets for just 255 runs in the first innings.

After taking a massive lead of 183 runs in the first innings, India scored 181 for two in the second innings to set a target of 365 for the home team. India scored 100 runs in 12.2 overs, making it the fastest team century in the history of Test cricket. Ishan Kishan scored an unbeaten 52 off 34 balls in his second Test.

Skipper Rohit Sharma left a devastating figure in the early hours of the morning when he scored the fastest fifty in 35 balls in Test cricket.

It is to be noted that at the start of the fourth day, India’s experienced bowler Ashwin sent captain Craig Brathwaite and Kirk McKenzie to the dressing room. Newcomer Mukesh Kumar also took two wickets each in the first innings. Meanwhile it could bowl just three overs in the evening session due to several spells of rain on the fourth day. Rain is expected for the fifth day as well and unpredictable weather is expected to play a key role in India’s aggressive process.
