Guwahati: The landslide crisis in Milan Nagar 2, Hengrabari, Guwahati, has caused injuries and damaged homes amidst ongoing hevy rainfall and floods.
On Friday night, a landslide occurred in the Milan Nagar 2 area, burying several houses and injuring at least 3 people. The landslide was triggered by heavy rainfall and flooding in the area.
Among the injured were two men and one woman, all swiftly rushed to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in critical condition. Immediate medical attention was crucial to their chances of survival.
Several families have been evacuated from the area as a precautionary measure.
The landslide has also caused damage to roads and infrastructure in the area. The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) is working to clear the debris and repair the damaged infrastructure.
