Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, slammed the Congress party over its remark on BJP’s second list of candidates for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh assembly polls and said that Congress was of ‘Ravana’ mentality.
Tomar was responding to a statement made by Congress leader Kamal Nath, who had said that the BJP’s second list was a sign of weakness and that the party was “desperate.”
Tomar said that Nath’s statement showed that the Congress was “insecure” and that it was “afraid” of the BJP. He also said that the Congress was “trying to spread lies” about the BJP.
“The Congress has a Ravana mentality,” Tomar said. “They try to destroy their opponents. But the BJP will not let them succeed.”
The BJP’s second list of candidates for Madhya Pradesh includes three Union ministers, four sitting MPs, and national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya. The party has also fielded six women candidates and 10 candidates from Scheduled Tribes and 4 from the Scheduled Castes category.
The Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections will be held on November 28, 2023, and the results will be declared on December 8, 2023.
