Jorhat: On October 11, 2023, a youth was shot by miscreants in, Jorhat, Assam. The victim, identified as 25-year-old Basanta Das, was hospitalized in critical condition.
The incident took place in the Lichubari area of Jorhat. Das was returning home from work iin his four-wheeler when he was shot by the miscreants. The miscreants fled the scene after the shooting.
The assailants opened fire, and Das sustained a gunshot wound to the lower part of his face. He was rushed to Jorhat Medical College for medical attention, where he is currently receiving treatment.
The police are investigating the incident and are trying to identify the miscreants. The police are also investigating the motive behind the shooting.
